Hurrah, here I am at entry number 300! It seems like only yesterday that 200 seemed like an awfully large amount... it's been quite a journey. Well, I say "it's been", but of course it still is, because my addiction to diaryland is such that there's no way I'm stopping now...

Speaking of addiction, here's a little irony for ya: I feel like I may have an unhealthy and somewhat addictive relationship with the internet. However, the only place I feel like I can turn to for help or advice is... you guessed it, people on the internet. Well, people in rl tend to be way more judgemental about this sort of thing. I guess if you meet someone on the net then they're more or less in the same boat, so they understand better. Anyway.

Went to see D tonight, it was good, we did a little more work on the song we're writing together. He showed me a couple of groovy chords which was nice. I managed to write something for the PhD before midnight (I have a pseudo-deadline, there's no consequences if I miss it, but I don't want to miss it) and, strangest of all, my friend H came to visit me today on his lunchbreak to tell me that he's decided to try to become a vegetarian, and that it's because of me! It felt kind of weird but I also felt really flattered. I really need to learn to accept compliments graciously. I don't think I was too ungracious today, though. Dinner at D's house was very tasty, too. He roasted cherry tomatoes in the oven with, I think olive oil and brown sugar on them, and then tossed them with finely chopped garlic and basil into pasta. Yum. There might have been some chilli in it too, come to think of it. I wish I were a better cook.
