I really hate sleeping under a mosquito net.

At the end of this month I'm (hopefully) going to start receiving my scholarship and then I can begin looking for somewhere to move out to. I think there are some things I'm definitely going to miss about living here. The shed is a marvellous place, um, because it's like a separate little house and I can play guitar in there at 3 in the morning and no-one can hear me... also having my brother and sister and my sister's girlfriend around all the time is cool, it feels like a real family-like situation. We're all friends and you know, have common interests and stuff. Being part of a community is a big deal. But on the other hand, I'm also really looking forward to moving. Getting away from the parents, for one thing. Getting away from the city, for another. Meeting new people and starting a new chapter of my life in Katoomba. So much excitement! Yay!

I'm considering going up to the Blue Mountains Folk Festival this weekend, it's on in Katoomba and I know I'd like to see some of those bands... but it's not cheap (not all that expensive either I guess) and I'm worrying that I need to stop taking weekends off from my work... but, bah, I think a little official break now and then helps reduce the number of "unofficial breaks", anyway.
